Live Music in October
Tin Bird Choir
Saturday, October 2 at 9:30pm
One resounding message: love is greater than fear. That’s what resonates from the music of Tin Bird Choir as they wail and rock and try to squeeze a bit of light from the time and place they live in. With literate lyrics, organic harmonies, and urgent melodies, the band’s debut album Barn Rock says, “Hey, I have been through some heartache and joy, and here is my story, can you relate?” Their songs tell the truth, and ultimately... become more than the truth.
Felix Lighter
Friday, October 8 at 10:00pm
Felix Lighter is based out of Lancaster, PA, where the band’s rehearsal studio is located. The band’s current line-up was formed in October of 2008 and consists of Paul Skozilas (guitar, vocals, harmonica), Rich Caloiero (guitar, vocals), Marshall Fischer (drums, harmonica), and Adam Horita (bass, guitar). Lighter’s sound most closely fits the rock/pop genre, but is hardly limited to one single category due to the band’s tremend...ous versatility. The band often produces a sound heavily rooted in classic rock with a “jammy” touch, while at times, incorporating different aspects of blues, funk and soul.
Felix Lighter thrives on the spontaneity of playing live, often improvising while performing to ensure a fresh, new touch is added to each song and each performance alike. Felix Lighter strives to create a fun and exciting scene whenever and wherever they play. Above all, their passion for playing music and having fun together always makes for an enjoyable experience.
